Did You Know?
The Peacemaker Program can build you your very own in-house mediation program! From elementary schools to corporations, we can design a program that allows you to reduce conflict, build solutions, and save your organization both time and money.
Daniel Burns recently published a brief but excellent article on divorce entitled "Equitable" Distribution. Take a few minutes, and learn why Divorce Mediation is often more equitable than the traditional adversarial process.
If you are seeking an attorney for your divorce or separation, consider a collaborative attorney. Members of a collaborative law group pledge to represent parties in settlement rather than in court, and work with their clients for a cooperative solution. Many of these attorneys are also familiar with mediation and its benefits. Consider contacting an organization like the Mohawk Valley Association of Collaborative Law.
The Peacemaker Program, Inc. provides a continuum of services including skill development, dispute resolution programs and child advocacy services through the use of carefully trained volunteers. Our mission is to offer inclusive, innovative approaches to resolve conflict and achieve positive outcomes for children, families and the community.
"Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means."
